Today, Tuesday the 27th December 2011 a walker requested the assistance of Mountain rescue following an accident. At approx 3pm this afternoon a woman in her 20’s suffered a lower leg injury while walking with friends near Djouce Mountain, above Lough Tay. Mt Rescue teams attended the scene and carried the injured woman out to the road where she could be transported to hospital for further treatment. The operation was carried out successfully and everyone was safely off the hill by 6.30pm.
