Lugnaquilla Call Out 19/01/14
On Sunday 19/01/14 at approx 16.00hrs both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to come to the assistance of two hillwalkers who had become disorientated while descending Lugnaquilla, Leinster’s highest mountain. Mountain Rescue made contact with them via mobile phone. Fortunately members of another hillwalking group who had heard their shouts for help, found the two hillwalkers and were able to escort them to safety. No further assistance was required.
