Glendalough Rescue 18/04/14
On Good Friday 18/04/14 at approx 14.00hrs both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to come to the assistance of a young boy who had suffered a lower leg injury while out walking with his family in Glendalough. Once Mountain Rescue medics had treated the boy he was moved by stretcher to a waiting HSE ambulance which transported him to hospital.
