Spinc Rescue 08/09/14
- At approximately 12.58hrs on Tuesday the 8th of September both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to come to the aid of a teenage girl who had suffered a lower leg injury while out walking with a youth group on the Spinc. Once mountain rescue medic’s had treated her for her injury she was helped into a stretcher. MR personnel then carried her down to the miners village. At this point she was placed in an MR 4×4 which drove her out to where her mom was waiting and from there she continued on to hospital for further care.
