Trooperstown Search 18/12/14
Just before 21.00hrs on Thursday December 18th the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to search for a woman who had been reported missing, near Trooperstown Mountain in Wicklow.
A strong response by both teams meant search parties were deployed quickly to key areas.Despite difficult conditions and mixed weather the nighttime search was thankfully successful and the woman was found shortly after 11pm.The Coastguard Helicopter was available but it was decided to perform a short stretcher carry to bring the woman to a waiting HSE ambulance which then brought her to hospital for definitive care.
