Call Out 04 Crone Wood Rescue 01/02/15
At approximately 14.00 on February 1st, the Glen Of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by HSE Ambulance Control to come to the aid of a woman who had suffered a lower leg injury near Crone Wood.
The lady had been out walking with a friend and was descending the forest tracks when the accident happened resulting in a badly twisted ankle.
Mountain Rescue personnel met the HSE ambulance and were able to escort them directly to the woman’s location near Ridge Rock.
After a quick examination she was moved carefully into the ambulance for transport to hospital and further care.
