Call Out 15: Lugnaquillia Search 03/04/16
At approximately 16.02hrs on Sunday the 3rd of April both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to come to the assistance of a hillwalker who had become disoriented while out on Lugnaquilla.
The woman had started out from Drumgoff forest car park. Rescue Base was set up at Slieve Maan Gap and 2 hasty parties were sent in to find her. One party went in from Drumgoff where the woman had started out and the second party was sent in to search the Ow valley where the woman was located and safely transported to Base. The operation was stood down at 17.20hrs
