Shortly before 13:30hrs on Sunday, May 1st, both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to assist HSE National Ambulance Service personnel in Djouce Wood. HSE medics were treating a 35 year old male who had sustained a shoulder injury. Mountain rescue vehicles were deployed to the scene to assist with evacuating the man. The man was safely transported to an ambulance while MR personnel were responding. The incident was stood down at 13:36hrs.
