Call Out 64: Spinc Rescue 27/10/16
At approximately 12.27hrs on Thursday the 27th of October both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to come to the assistance of a teenage girl who had suffered a lower leg injury while on the Spinc with a youth group.
Mountain Rescue set up Rescue Base near the Upper Lake and sent in a Hill Party to the girls location. She was treated by an MR Medic before being stretchered to a waiting MR 4×4 vehicle which brought her down to a HSE Ambulance. She was then transported to hospital for further care.
