Call Out 3: Glendalough Rescue 15/1/17
At approximately 12 noon on Sunday 15th of January An Garda Síochána tasked The Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team to assist a 38 year old female hill walker in the Glenealo valley.
The hill walker had sustained a fracture to her right ankle.
Mountain rescue (MR) personnel assessed the injured person. Her injury was stabilised on scene, painkillers were administered and she was evacuated by stretcher down the zigzag Miner’s path, in very wet conditions, to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 16:00hrs.
