Call Outs 16 & 17: Glendasan Rescues 5/3/17
At 12:30 on Sunday, March 5th the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team received notification of an injured runner in the Lead Mines in Glendasan. The runner had sustained lower leg, shoulder, and facial injuries. Mountain rescue (MR) personnel, working with Search and Rescue Dogs Association (SARDA), assessed and treated the runner before an ambulance arrived and they were taken to hospital.
With callout 16 coming to a close, a member of the public reported that his wife had taken ill in the area. MR personnel assessed and treated the woman, before evacuating here by stretcher to an ambulance. The second incident was stood down at 14:40hrs.
