Callout – 17th June 2018 – Knocksink Wood

At 17:41 on Sunday, June 17th, The Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána (AGS) to assist a family group in Knocksink Wood.

The group had become disoriented in forestry and were unable to find their way back to the car park. Using Sarloc Technology, the group’s location was established. Mountain rescue personnel were deployed who located the group and escorted them to safety. The incident was stood down at 18:53hrs.
