Evac (01/12/10)

Yesterday, Wed the 1st December, at 14.30, Mountain Rescue teams were called upon to bring an injured woman from her snow-bound home on Trooperstown Mtn.

The lady slipped on ice outside her home and suffered a suspected wrist fracture.  In order to bring her to the awaiting ambulance in Glenealy (some 15km away) Rescue Teams had to use 4X4 all-terrain vehicles.

The evacuation ended successfully with the injured lady being taken to St Vincent’s hospital by HSE ambulance for further treatment.

Many thanks to all the agencies involved
